They are in much support of the shared services.

There will be a town wide newsletter and an insert will be in there with school updates.

Wandell Foundation- Alex Ruffino stated that the Basketball game is tomorrow at 6:00PM at the Wandell gymnasium. It will be a game paled by teachers, students, firemen and police officers. The foundation did not play a big role in putting this game together, it was the teachers who have taken charge and are doing a fabulous job. This will be a fun event and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Wandell Foundation have open positions. Terns run through June and 3 volunteers are coming off this June. I have to come off because my term is only 2 years and this is my second year. We will have 7 members left, and the Foundation can have as many as 14 members.

Dr Ronzitti update
Happy new year and welcome back. Dr Ronzitti said that the winter concert was fantastic, a new standard has been set, thanks to Mr Lasalandra and mrs Ireland for their creative input.
The new HVAC system is working properly providing hot and also cold air when needed, having the work done last year in readiness for tis winter was without a doubt the right thing to do. A new professional development program is in place for the teachers using the IDE corporation and funded by the Wandell Education foundation. To date the IDE Corp have visited the School 4 times specifically training teachers on child assessment. The feedback from teachers has been positive as they have not received much training over the past few years.
CPR training has also been approved and been completed for 5 additional teachers in the school.
The new PARCC testing which replaced the NJ ASK test was

used for the first time last year , as this was a new test Dr Ronzitti did not have particularly high hopes for the results as there was so much going on at school . The fact that the children all had laptops and were able to complete the test in their homerooms seemed to pay off.

Wandell did better or at least matched the other public school districts, we scored higher than Ridgewood and alpine in most subjects .

The official results will be made available online very soon. Dr Ronzitti said how proud he was of the students , Teachers and parents for their support.
Dr ronzitti was asked what plans the school have to work on areas of weakness, his response was that this will be assessed and then worked into the teacher development programs.

two PARCC tests were taken last year and the results are a combined result of both tests, there will only be one PARCC test this year.
